  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • it was very enjoyable, was able to learn a lot and apply my knowledge in a practical situation

  • always able to have a joke when appropriate, friendly , always available for a chat

  • monthly reviews (and some weekly) to check on my progress and to see where I can improve

  • some days it was rather busy, some days it could be quiet, but that's the nature of working in IT support

  • I was given the task of running a crucial project that was due to go global, the site I was at was the pilot site for the project

  • learned more about corporate networks, how somethings are more critical than others

  • as said previously, being able to have a laugh was always good and just general chat

  • no formal plan was set in the beginning, tasks were allocated when they were needed to be done

  • learnt more from colleagues than doing any courses

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I'm going to put this @ 5 due to the fact that I was away from the main grou that were in london so I couldn't really get involved

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • fairly expensive place to live as far as rent is concerned, not much on the socialising as I didn't have any friends in the area

  • ddin't really go out as I didn't know anyone in the area

  • managed to play some 5-a-side football with work colleagues
