  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was able to gain deeper understanding different sectors: private banking, portfolio management, and financial planning and work with wealth managers, investment and lending specialists and other colleagues to complete projects and presentations.

  • I have been able to network with colleagues from different sectors and functions of the bank, and understand more about each of their unique roles. I was also able to develop my collaboration and communications through undertaking specialised training and business projects.

  • I think we were given some good amounts of responsibility during the internship, to take part in meetings within different management teams and also participate in various project and opportunities.

  • We received a lot of support and guidance during the internship, from line managers, the early careers team, those on graduate schemes, as well as colleagues from different departments.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • I really liked the tight- knit and nurturing company culture and atmosphere of the bank, and I think they made us feel supported and welcomed throughout the duration of the internship.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I enjoyed my internship to a far extent, as I think it is very well organised and well-structured. Not only were there many spotlight sessions, there were also many projects and opportunities in place that we could participate in.
