Overview
Insight talks into the firm's culture and practice areas. Sat in the department for two weeks, involvement on active client tasks.
Skills
Further developed public speaking skills during presentations and group exercises. Learnt further skills about the structure of an International Law Firm.
Business Insight
Scheme was held as NQ positions had recently been announced, so it was an interesting insight to see how the roles evolve as your legal career progresses. Useful talks provided on the qualification process and how the firm is managing the transition across to the SQE.
Culture
Culture was really welcoming, Trainee's in particular were welcoming and happy to helpful with questions. Partners in my specific department were very busy, which did make it hard to schedule time to talk to them, however this was not across the board and only in select departments.

I enjoyed my time at the firm and I am grateful for the opportunity.

Really understand the work that the firm does, and ensure that your application is tailored to the firm to help you stand out. Everyone on the scheme had a unique reason as to why they applied to BCLP and whilst they were all different, it showcased that the firm looks for individuality in it's cohort.
