  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role involves managing global learning programmes for manufacturing and engineering teams. This mean, creating and structuring content, creating communications for launch, identifying target groups and assigning correct teams/ individuals to the training. The role also assists in supporting the Business operations learning team in their events and initiatives.

  • I received enough support. My line manager was based in Mexico and my role primarily online which provided some difficulty to get support, however people were always willing to help.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is so friendly and supportive and everyone is willing to support in whatever you needs. It is difficult to describe the atmosphere as my team is global and so much of my job was online.

  • I enjoyed my placement. The impact of being a remote team is something that reduced my enjoyment however, because I was consistently learning and developing in new skills I enjoyed it.

  • Make sure you are clear on the companies purpose and values and ensure that they are aligned to your own. When applying, ensure that you acknowledge the companies values and their importance but also remember that it is a business whose prime goal is to sell product and receive profit.
