  • My official job title is an 'Assistant Brand Manager' in the digital and e-commerce team for Unilever Professional. More specifically, I am responsible for CRM and building retention strategies for our customers - this involves, email campaigns, social media posting, discounting structures etc. I am also responsible for submitting budgets and other admin tasks.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I am pretty close to my line manager which is nice. It's also good to have a large placement student cohort because you never feel alone! I also had a long handover time of 2 months, with the previous intern so I could learn the ropes with her.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • Overall I enjoyed it. Going into the office was my highlight (my team only went in once a week). I learnt a lot about myself - I don't want to go into the area of marketing that I have been working in this past year, but my team have been great and I have still learnt relevant marketing terminology and more generally, about corporate life!
