    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • No two days are the same, everyday entails something new and exciting! A marketing role is the heart of project management, you could be doing anything from: market performance review, consumer insights, comparing market offerings to competitors, coming up with new ideas for products. Networking with different functions such as finance, customer account managers, supply chain, R&D to co-ordinate each project.

  • Starting a 9-5 could have been daunting although the flexibility at Unilever helped me tailor my work day to how I work best. My time management and project management skills have flourished during this year, as well as my confidence to network, present and improve my business acumen. Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Regular 1-1 catch-ups every week with my manager to ensure I was on track, although also given alot of freedom to learn things on my own without relying on my manager. Individual progression is highly encouraged in Unilever so I’m now walking away with a strong skill set and the confidence to apply my knowledge to my final year at University thanks to the support and help from my manager.
