    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The role is very varied and sociable. It requires allot of communication across the business. There is a fair amount of admin related work such as recording campaign results and inputting budgets to spreadsheets. It also involves a lot of on the move customer meetings and talks with supplier to ensure everything runs smoothly before the launch of brand campaigns.

  • I have learnt so many skills both specific to the role and general skills that are required in business. For example, I have learnt how to effectively communicate, multi-task, be proactive, organised and stick to deadlines.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a large amount of responsibility. I was responsible for managing budgets, stock allocation and creating both POS and creative assets to be used within the company.

  • The support was varied throughout the placement due to responsibilities and roles of others changing throughout the year however I would say the support is there, you just need to be proactive and have the confidence to ask.

  • There is a great company culture and it is focused around conviviality. There are many company and team events and everyone is incredibly friendly and open to conversation

  • Overall I found the placement very enjoyable. the skills I have learnt and experiences I have been apart of are unmatched to anywhere else. Due to the nature of the business, there are times where you will feel busier than others but there is a great balance of work and social.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Pernod Ricard
  • Working alongside the team to help activate across the portfolio of brands and supporting the monitoring budgets. Assisting with admin such as ordering event stock and recording activation evaluation. Creating point of sale and advertisements to support in venue marketing. Assisting with the smooth running on team meetings and general communication across the commercial team.
