Marketing Executive Intern (The Gin Hub) Review

The primary focus of the role was to help build the brands strategic development and support the progression of integrated and innovative initiatives for Beefeater gin. My key purpose was to support the Beefeater brand team with the day to day management of the brand as well as either leading or assisting key marketing initiatives and support the markets to implement them. Mainly based in the global Beefeater Innovation team I supported the development of creative consumer assets to strengthen Beefeater's role in the innovation space. Part of my role also included building strong working relationships with agency suppliers, The Gin Hub Market Activation Team, Brand Ambassadors & Global BM Beefeater.

Yes absolutely I have learnt many new skills throughout my time at the Gin hub including project management on certain projects throughout the year and agency & stakeholder management. Plus strengthened my digital skills sets when supporting the digital team creating always working assets and helping with website and newsletter updates.

I was given lots of responsibility during my placement at the Gin Hub which also grew as I developed and became more comfortable within the role. My managers were extremely supportive throughout my year and gave me the platform to be pushed outside my comfort zone and take lead on certain projects whilst also ensuring I was fully supported along the way. As the year progressed I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to lead certain projects for the brand.

I received copious amounts of support right the way through my placement from both my manager and wider team at Beefeater and TGH. Everyone at Pernod Ricard UK is incredibly friendly and helpful so I always felt like I could asked questions or for extra guidance if needed.

I absolutely loved the company culture at Pernod Ricard UK and it is something which made my placement year so enjoyable! The office always has a friendly and warm environment and the word conviviality is shared throughout all teams and parts of the business. The company values employees well-being above everything else as well which was something I found impressive and there were loads of events and social activities which are available to get involved with at all times.

I have loved my placement at Pernod Ricard UK and The Gin Hub. I have grown my knowledge in all aspects on Business not just marketing and have developed skills which will be a vital foundation for me going forward into my career.

I would definitely apply to Pernod Ricard UK if you have the opportunity! It is an extremely exciting and rewarding year. In terms of applying to the company I would recommend making sure you have a good amount of knowledge of the industry and be super confident and friendly in your interviews.
