  • Help line manager and wider team on tasks including data collection, data analysis, process automation, trade signal analysis, back test and PPT slides preparation.

  • Developed hugely on market knowledge, especially with the immediate rotation teams. Improved on Excel, PPT, Bloomberg and data analytics skills. Improved on Python coding skills, especially in data analytics, visualisation, trade analysis and back test.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given the responsibility to code and back test a trading strategy in Python by myself and visualise the results. In the second rotation, I was also given the responsibility of update the wider team of potential business/trade opportunities everyday.

  • I have support from my internship buddy, line manager and wider team throughout the internship. The guidance from managers are clear and timely review and feedbacks were also given.

  • HSBC values teamwork very much. All teams and members are approachable and kind. HSBC also values outcomes and appreciate when interns can contribute and help with desks' works.
