    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, the promos/trailers that I produce get broadcast across the on-air channels and so I have a responsibility to ensure that the content I create is suitable for distribution and delivered at company standard. I also have a responsibility to produce all of the relevant production materials such as completed scripts, music details and some quality control checks.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I was guided through the overall production processes, meaning I gained a solid understanding of how projects were produced and the role I played individually in this workflow. In terms of my creative editing skills, from project to project I received constructive feedback that helped me develop my technical skills and approaches whilst also feeling supported to ask questions, learn from others and collaborate creatively with my colleagues when I felt I needed additional support.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement, with a huge part of this has been down to the people as working in a supportive and friendly environment has meant I look forward to coming into work each day. Regarding my individual role, I have enjoyed the opportunity to develop my creative editing skills and approaches which have helped me to grow my personal and professional confidence.
