    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Each month, I am required to help out with the month end tasks such as creating creating recharge, reclass and manual accrual journals. I also have to submit the cost predictions for the upcoming months to the US for them to process and assist the IT Tech and Procurement team by doing the monthly recharges for the IT equipment purchased by the other business units. I assist people to raise purchase orders and approve invoices.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have developed my excel skills as well as my SAP skills. I am now able to use excel very easily and confidently. I also feel I have improved on my communication skills as I am constantly speaking to many different people within the business. I also feel that my team working skills have developed as I am required to work with different teams in the business too as well as help others in my team.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • At the start of the internship, there was a 3 week handover period where I was trained by the intern who I was taking over from. This was very useful as I got to understand the job from someone who had been through the whole process I went through. My manager and team were also very helpful and supportive and they always helped me out when I needed help.
