    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role includes working closely with my team to provide data for clients in order to complete sales for our content. I manage the teams diaries for any trips they have which are quite regular. This includes liaising with clients and booking flights, hotels etc. I create pitch decks for clients which include certain content genres or topics. I explore & research all the new content NBC are constantly producing.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • My teamwork skills have been largely developed as I have been working within a small team, therefore we are always working together. I have improved my communication skills by emailing clients and reaching out to wider teams. I have also improved my confidence largely as I regularly present to my team and they provide me with feedback so that I am always improving. My excel skills have developed largely!

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was trusted with a lot of responsibility during my time at NBC. For example, I am responsible for multiple team members diaries and organising all their travel arrangements. I am responsible for certain documents which get presented each week. I have also been given responsibilities to turn work around in a short time period to make sure the client gets it in time.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received a lot of support and guidance from my team. They were always happy to help me and guide me in the right direction. I had meetings with my line manager every week to make sure everything was going smoothly and once a month had a monthly development progress meeting. My line manager was always very supportive.

  • The company culture was very friendly and nice. Everyone around you is always happy to help you if they can!

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I really enjoyed my placement at NBC. It was really nice to know that the team relied on me for important documents in the chain of an important deal. I felt a sense of belonging within my team and I am very grateful for the opportunity at such an amazing company.

  • Don't feel like you aren't capable of any job, the teams at NBCU will provide you with sufficient training which will be forever useful. In your interview, be yourself and think of it as a conversation! Don't be afraid to ask for help - everyone is always happy to help!
