Overview
Over the first 3 days, we got insights into the company through numerous presentations and networking events. On the last day we presented a case study in front of the whole class and MDs which we worked on during the whole week. In addition, we had business etiquette workshops and listened to presentations about investment banking etc.
Skills
I was able to strengthen my communication and networking skills and in addition, I strengthened my English skills – I am a foreign student and therefore speaking English a week long was very beneficial to me. Furthermore, I could gain a lot of technical investment banking knowledge. There was also a seminar on business etiquette, which was quite beneficial.
Business Insight
It was fascinating and broadened my horizon. It strengthened my interest in the Career path even more, and my desire to work at the company has increased. It also showed me how many possibilities there are and how realistic breaking into a career in finance really is.
Culture
The culture and atmosphere was great. It was really open, the people were friendly, and the people working there really seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and the jobs they were doing. I understood that at Rothschild it is really about the people, and they value everyone, are diverse and unbiased – this differentiates them from other banks.
