Overview
I shadowed an employee who works in audit with a few other colleagues. We sat in on meetings with clients and other team members to learn what a role with audit looks like. The employees explained different parts of audit and answered any questions we had throughout the days.
Skills
My communication skills have been developed through interacting with different workers and other participants on the programme. It also developed my confidence skills in being able to network with others and I have learnt to be more comfortable in social settings.
Business Insight
It was very useful to learn about the different roles in business as I am unsure of what I want to do in my career. As I do not do a business degree, it was interesting to explore a new line of work and a potential career.
Culture
I really enjoyed the company culture - every person I spoke to was friendly and welcoming and happy to answer any questions I had.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed working in audit as it was a new experience and I learnt a lot. It is definitely a future career option for me that I would not have otherwise considered before the programme.
