    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • We were involved in up-skilling sessions, networking sessions with our stream's expert leaders within the company and insight sessions where we found out what the working environment at Natwest was like. Plenty of interactive opportunities and breakout room discussions to get to know your peers and practice team building.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've developed my teamwork skills, learned how to talk about my achievements and support others in feeling proud of their professional and personal achievements. I feel I've developed my leadership skills by coordinating and designating roles within my Insight Challenge team but also played to people's strengths and listened and incorporated everyone's ideas.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed it, but I felt that there could have been some more sessions and challenges that are a bit more personalised to our streams. We only had one day of hearing from leaders in data and analytics. I felt we had all our questions asked and answered on why we should work at NatWest, but not necessarily the questions answered about why to work in data analytics.

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group
  • Don't be afraid to speak up. Engage with the programme as much as you can or you won't get the best experience out of it. Connect with your peers and use this opportunity to build your professional network with likeminded ambitious people.
