Overview
Monday and Fridays we work on our development and the two projects that we had been assigned on. On the rest of the day we work on our placement, which in mine consisted in a variety of things to help my team with the BAU.
Skills
I have developed my skills on many things, excel and systems skills (like workday) were developed. My research and presentation skills were also developed. Teamworking skills were also something that I also developed. Also there were job related skills related to communication and writing.
Responsibilities
Most of the time the work was going to be revised again by someone else on my team, but they gave me responsibility to do the work on my own. There were some projects were my team had full responsibility
Support & Guidance
The culture on Natwest is a very supportive culture and it helped alot with my confidence. I had a buddy that was there to support me and also a team buddy, however everyone on the team was very approachable
Culture
People were very relaxed and very supportive. They had a culture of making everyone feel included, which was very nice. They want you to succeed
Your Impressions
I have had an amazing experience in Natwest, completely recommend it to anyone that want to get to develop their skills during the summer.
Yes
When applying prepare yourself, know something about the banking sector and what are the current topics around them. Be yourself during the whole process, they are very open and inclusive. For day one be ready to get to know people and dont worry as the induction is very welcoming and will make you feel safe.
