    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The first week consists of induction admin. From there you are provided a Buddy and Career Coach who shape your time at PwC by finding you work to shadow. You also participate in a Dragons Den scheme with other interns working in groups to address challenges for a social enterprise, which is then presented to the enterprise and PwC judges at the end of the program.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was incredibly helpful to learn about the different business units as this can help guide you on what you want to do in the future. However, in my experience I did not get as much first hand involvement as I would have liked.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture and atmosphere is amazing. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and friendly and happy to have you there. It's important to note that you have to be confident in asking for work / shadowing, and you might have to ask multiple times for this.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Overall I had a great time and definitely plan on returning to the company. It would have been better if there were more opportunities to have more involvement in the work. That said, it was incredibly insightful and the networking opportunities are excellent. The company is very welcoming and relaxed.

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC
  • Be confident and have an open mind. You may not be interested in a certain business unit but you might be surprised so it is worth exploring all possibilities and networks! Try and get in early if possible through spring insight or summer intern schemes. The company value you and are likely to keep you on for further opportunities if you prove your work ethic.
