  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Janssen were a great company to work for with much opportunity to work with many teams within the company.

  • I was given a lot of responsibility on projects which made me feel incredibly valued, I also felt like my opinions were important to the team.

  • My manager was incredibly supportive and I was able to go to her with any queries, problems and also ideas.

  • The work varied depending on the time of year but overall it was pretty balanced.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was probably given more responsibility than the average placement student which I enjoyed.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I found when I returned to my final year I worked a lot harder and could apply what I'd learnt in essays and exams. Additionally it was great to have something more to talk about than my degree in interviews, especially with Janssen being a well known company.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Generally there was the right balance of fun and work. A number of meals and events were arranged to encourage fun within teams.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I couldn't find a way to improve the placement program Janssen offer. They offer a good salary, bonuses and interesting work.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I received a lot fo training in the first few weeks, with a great first week to introduce us to the company.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would apply to work for Janssen or Johnson & Johnson again. I feel they are a good company to work for with a good level of success in their sector.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were about 15 placement students which meant we had a good social scene within and outside the company.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was pretty cheap considering it's close to London.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • High Wycombe isn't the best area but there are many surrounding towns and cities to explore.

  • There were many activities such as three peaks challenge.
