Overview
I was able to gain greater insight into the inner workings of the firm through various presentations and networking lunches with lawyers working in different practice areas. There was great emphasis placed on the firm’s core values and culture, and to me this is what made Clifford Chance even more appealing. On the last two days of the scheme, interns were able to complete work shadowing, embarking on various trainee style tasks.
Skills
I have learned how to amend a term sheet, as well as how to improve my personal brand. The insight scheme improved my skills as an aspiring lawyer, but also as more generally, as an individual.
Business Insight
The firm was exceptionally clear about how it operates as a business. Additionally, I have a greater understanding of the potential roles available and the potential trajectory of my career if I were to work at the firm.
Culture
Everyone was extremely approachable and friendly, I could not have felt more welcome.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the insight scheme to a large extent. I would definitely recommend it to other aspiring lawyers, and would love to work at the firm if given the opportunity.
