  • I work in the EO CRM team developing loyalty and retention initiatives for the Samsung Members app and supporting wider brand campaigns.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes you are treated like another employee- by the end a few people forgot I was on a placement contract. I could manage campaigns and review copy and assets with little input from my manager.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I was close with my manager so felt supported and comfortable asking questions. There is a great library of learning development resources and qualifications including Econsultancy and Linkedin courses. However there wasn't much interaction with the Emerging Talent team and there was no set road map of the year.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • My team worked well together and were supportive and we had lots of team workshops and meals and they treated me as equal and valued my ideas. Though it is quite a hierarchical company but as a placement you can easily stay out of politics.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I did enjoy my placement as I liked the work I did and had a lot of responsibility so I could achieve a lot. My team were really friendly and we often had meals out and met up in the office weekly to catch up.
