    • Industrial placements have the responsibility of ensuring their project progresses, day to day tasks include researching the science behind the project, optimising experiments, partaking in group discussions and data analystics.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

    • I learnt countless skills but if I had to pinpoint one it would be my ability to consisely and clearly communicate my thoughts in a group setting with confidence (which I was lacking previously). This has helped me push my project forward and engage in opportunities I was previously too insecure to take hold of.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

    • Was essentially in charge of my own project which although not affecting the project progression I and my manager saw value in. I was able to drive the project forward as I saw fit.
