The Role
The internship was very enjoyable. Working alongide clients gave me a real feel for consulting in the IT industry,
I was often complimented on my hard work, and recieved great feedback from project management. They made me fully aware they appreciated my efforts.
I never felt I could not ask questions, and communication was maintained throughout the year.
I was started off on quite a light workload, but that was quickly increased once they knew I was capable.
I have had the ability to make decisions based on my knowledge, and often asked my opinion on certain issues. Daunting at first, but I like being able to have an input, and make my own judgements on situations. True consulting experience.
Not all the skills will e directly relevent to my degree, but it has been and invaluable experience, and will definitely improve my final degree mark.
The Company
I was working on client site for the whole year. Generally the atmosphere was good, but can be tense if something goes wrong. You are a small team in a big client office.
Very well. I didn't think so at first, as it took me a little while to be put onto a project, but I now know that this is the nature of the job role, not matter what level you work at. Projects are resourced depending on demand.
As I have been on project the whole year, I have not been able to go on many training days. This is not a fault of HP, just the nature of project work. Had I been with the company I little longer, or had some time away from project, there would have been numerous oppotunities for training. Working on project, with a supportive team has been more benefitial than any classroom sessions for me.

Working from home
This would have been 10, as they are very enthusiastic to have me back. However, recent announcements of job cuts have hindered my optimism for that opprtunity. They have not said this will affect my chances though!!
The Culture
A very good social life. I missed most of it due to working away all the time, but I have seen to pictures!!
High! But there are cheaper alternatives. I made bad decisions when it came to choosing digs.
From what I saw. Awesome!
Definitely. HP Interns do an astronomical amount of charity activities, that will look good to any prospective employer.
