Working as a sales intern varies on a day to day basis. You aren't going to be doing the same tasks everyday which is what I like about the role. You get to work on a variety of projects that holds importance and value so nothing you do isn't done for no reason. You will also get to work with other teams such as marketing, finance and the legal team to resolve issues that you may come across.
The role and my team has helped me develop my existing skills such as communication, report writing, organizational skills and many more. I also found my self confidence had a boost and this might have been the biggest development for me in terms of professionalism skills.
From the beginning you are given responsibilities and as the year progresses and you get more involved in your role, you will find that your seniors has more trust in you and so they do give you bigger and important projects to work on.
From the start we have been supported by everyone in our internal team but also the wider department had also given me support and guidance when I needed it. Even when I was 8 months into my role the support and guidance didn't disappear, it was still accessible when I needed it.
The culture was friendly and welcoming. Everyone is determined to strive for the best which motivates you to do the same.
I have enjoyed every part of my placement. I think I got to experience a bit of everything and have experienced restructures and changes so there wasn't a point where I wasn't enjoying the role.
Yes
I think its good to know a bit about the company and having knowledge on the media aspect is also useful.
