  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • In this role, I ensured that all decks were kept up to date with new content and add any information as required. I would also write up lifecycle recommendations, especially if content was in the news or events need to be highlighted. I managed sales materials by copywriting, communicating with the creative agency, gathering feedback and making amendments. I'll also dealt with sales enquiries using our internal systems, and sent weekly industry news updates.

  • I have developed my communication, organisation, teamwork and networking skills. I also have learnt new skills with copywriting and pitching content which has enhanced my presentational skills. I have also developed new skills in critical thinking and technical/data analysis which has increased my ability to use Excel/Power BI.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given responsibility by handling the sales solution materials and having the opportunity to be involved in this task from start to finish. The team allowed me to copywrite the outline decks, be the main contact with the creative agency and manage any feedback. Once ready, I would then send these decks to various sales teams and handle any enquiries involving the sales materials.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I was given plenty of support and guidance throughout my internship. The team were always available to answer any queries/questions that I had and would go through any tasks that were more difficult to understand. They would also provide further information on any new terms that I came across or give details on any presentations that needed more explanation.

  • The company culture is great, anyone you meet is always more than happy to talk to you and help where needed. I was encouraged to always give my opinion where necessary and be my most authentic self at work.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I enjoyed my internship thoroughly, I have had the opportunity to meet new people with different life experiences and have also been involved with various tasks which have enhanced my professional and personal skills. I have been involved in company initiatives where I have spoken to others about early careers and also been apart of providing this information to others. My experience during my internship has made me want to stay within the company.
