The Role
The people I worked with were fantastic and no two weeks were ever the same.
I was included in anything that was happening in the office and can go and chat to anyone.
Anything I wasn't sure about I could just ask and it would be explained. They didn't expect me to know everything and were always around to support me or give me the contact details of someone who would help.
It varied each week depending on what was happening but there would always be something to do. On the rare occasion when I had nothing to do, I would simply send out an email asking if my managers needed anything and that would always bring in work!
I was involved in absolutely everything from forecasting new opportunities and inputting them into the system to organising events that ranged from large balls to small business meetings.
I have learnt how to interact within a global corporation and how they perform which is a vital skill. Other skills are day to day lessons, for example my knowledge of excel is beyond anything that I would learn in a lab and the ability to organise an event with half a days notice is something who can only learn in practice.
The Company
It was fun and there was lots of banter. However, of course, you were also able to work hard and concentrate.
It was fantastic, the on-boarding process was fantastic and I felt like a part of the company within a couple of weeks.
I was assigned two mentors and also the previous intern was kept on for another month to make sure that I was properly trained.

The Culture
FANTASTIC!!! There was something happening every week.
London is expensive but socialising with the company is subsidised as the managers take you out.
Great fun! London is a fantastic place to go out and there are always people willing to go with you.
The office would organise parties and there were also charity events which you could get involved in.
