Overview
Working in back-end engineering. A typical day starts with scrum meeting with people I work with, then some coding and designing. Sometimes there would be a meeting with my manager, as well as broader team.
Skills
Yes, I learned new technologies, such as Angular and concepts of full-stack development. I also developed my teamwork skills and adapting to any work environment, had access to external tools such as Pluralsight, Headspace and others, and improved my presentation skills.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was working on a small project responsible for allowing other engineers and financial controllers to do their job more easily. Even though I was led by my mentor, a lot of decisions had to be made from my side first.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support, people were responsive and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The idea was to mostly explore and try to figure things on my own, but if I would get stuck, I would be offered more guidance.
Culture
The culture is very open and relaxing. People are thriving for more and progressing, and at the same time they are very friendly.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship. The people that I have worked with were very approachable and good engineers, also the HR department and other people not directly involved in my work were always to help with any inquiries.
Yes
Enjoy the process. Reach out for the stars and don't be afraid. It's just a job.
