Overview
The role involves working as part of the MS IBD team to pitch for and execute M&A and capital markets transactions for clients across EMEA.
Skills
Yes - I sharpened my financial skills, attention to detail and perseverance, whilst also developing my interpersonal abilities and commercial awareness.
Responsibilities
Yes, very much so; the team I joined was very busy and it was made clear from the very first day that I were to be treated as a full team member (and expected to contribute accordingly).
Support & Guidance
A lot - my buddy and manager were generally available to answer my questions, alongside everyone else I reached out to from the firm.

My placement was certainly intense, but I personally found it enjoyable; it made sure I got an accurate depiction of what an investment banking job entails, including both the benefits and drawbacks.
