Attend stand_ups and work on my project! Learn about the firm and attend events
Skills
I learned more about how software projects are managed in a big company and about artifactory as well as fluentd, prometheus and gained more experience with fast api
Responsibilities
I was given responsibility over how I conducted my projects including what technologies I used and how I wrote the code which was then reviewed when I made pull requests
Support & Guidance
I had nearly daily meetings with my manager and other folks in my teams to learn as much as possible
Culture
We had a company wide event every week and although we were virtual they organised fun zoom events for us to do too, I joined an ethnic network which provided additional support. We had the opportunity to give back doing mapping in Zambia!
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed working there, I really like coding and tech so it was really up my alley,My team was brilliant and really friendly. My manager messaged me when I stayed too late which I think is a good sign that the company actually cares about the people who work there and yeah I'm going back
