  • As a Summer Analyst in Global Fraud Management Operations I supported team members with various tasks such as updating the daily stock of cases that needed to be handled, organizing information in spreadsheets and contributing to weekly investigation guidance meetings.

  • Besides learning to use the associated information systems required for the role, I learned new knowledge on the retail banking industry and fraud management in particular. I did not learn any new skills but I developed my existing MS Excel skills.

  • The tasks I was assigned were to some degree critical for the team's daily function. However, they were pretty straighforward.

  • In this virtual format, it was indeed harder to interact with colleagues but for the most part I received adequate support from team members through Webex sessions and instant messaging.
