    • Supporting analysts with ongoing live deal work. Supplemented by additional financial modelling training and insights into the work that Barclays does.

    • Developed soft skills - learning best practises at work in terms of working from home, supporting clients and responding to feed back. Hard skills developed were in terms of financial modelling: LBO, DCF building.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

    • Yes - the ability to work on live deals. I was given the responsibility of dealing with the analyst presentation. Work that directly was sent to the client on a daily basis

    • Good support in terms of training. Given the experience was virtual, in person support was obviously limited. But team was friendly and happy to help and offer advice.
