The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the placement experience and working within a relatively small team was very beneficial.
Due to the roll I had within the team I was relied upon to perform tasks which impacted upon others and as such the work. I felt as though the tasks I was performing actually had a purpose.
The structured support and guidance in place was very good.
We had our busier and quieter times, however the quieter times allowed for more routine but necessary tasks to be performed.
I felt I was given a good amount of responsibility as the processes being performed had value and importance.
I was able to enhance my softer skills immeasurably during the placement for example, planning, time management and communication.
The Company
It was an exceptionally enjoyable environment to work in.
The placement was fairly well organised.
Initially lots of events were scheduled however they diminished over time.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Quite a competitive field but opportunities are available.
The Culture
Events were organised between placement students and others in the team so there was always opportunities for a good time.
Standard for London really, rent is high but you get paid well enough to compensate for this.
The wharf isn't exactly a hub of nightlife but the city and west end is not far away.
Lots of opportunities with the sports clubs or social scene.
