The role entails supporting a Global Advisory team for the duration of the internship on various projects. Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the preparation of materials, attending client meetings and research.
The supportive environment allowed for step-up opportunities for those who wanted them. New skills I was able to pick up included advanced financial modelling as well as an ability to use various software platforms. On top of this, my existing skills of preparing visual materials and presenting these were enhanced through ongoing feedback and active coaching.
As aforementioned, opportunities to step-up were within reach. My responsibilities ramped up as the internship advanced and as I became a fully integrated part of the team.
Support was ongoing and people at the company are beyond willing to invest their time in your development. There is a formal half-way point review of your performance, but in reality the dialogue is ongoing. This proved to be extremely helpful for my development.
Excellent team culture with an emphasis on the development of junior talent and providing them with meaningful work. Supportive and professional atmosphere on top of this.
Thoroughly enjoyed the internship and would highly recommend to any student looking to gain some experience in the field!
