The Role
This placement was fantastic. I got a real inside into the department and firm as a whole through my 4 rotations.
It took some time to get used to the large group of people in the division, but in the end I felt integrated and like a real employee.
Each of my managers had quite their own and unique way of working which was great in terms of being flexible and hacing exposure to different working styles.
Depending on the team, I was somethimes not busy at all but then too busy at times. Overall, I would say it was up to me to have a balance what I feel is an important skill tp have going forward.
I would have never thought that I would be involved in important projects and hold quite as much responsibiltity as I did. It was brilliant - I learned a lot and felt good doing my work.
I am not sure how this experience will help me in my last year at uni, but I definately learned a lot for life.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
There were quite a few intern events scheduled.
My personal development was supported by the team members. I was also allowed to participate in lunch and learn sessions etc.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
If you do your job well, you might receive a job offer at the end.
The Culture
Within the division, I was able to speak to other placement students. There were a few events where I could talk to students from other divisions as well.
The area was quite expensive.
There are tons of Bars and Restaurants around the area I worked.
There were several activities planned by the division that I was able to particiapte in.
