  • Given a fair amount of responsibility. My work directly contributed to future decision making as well as ensuring that current issues/problems would not occur in the future.

  • Huge amount of support on offer whenever requested from all areas. Examples include: line manager, graduate buddy, recruiter, wider team, people in other teams etc.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Culture felt very inclusive and did not feel as if I was an inconvenience at any point. Although the internship was virtual, there were still efforts made to have social events (eg cocktail evening).

  • I would certainly like to come back. I feel as if the company environment is perfect for me and is significantly better than I had first thought it would be.

  • It's really important to be yourself. Be as proactive as you can as there will always be someone who would like some help. Recognise that there is a huge focus on career development at HSBC so it is important that you have a continuous hunger to learn both now and when you are in the role in 5+ years time.
