The Role
Very interesting products - often quite manualy processes.
I was a critical member of the team.
Manager never had time to provide Support or one to ones.
Always had a large back log of work due to an under-staffed team.
I often had a lot of important work on my plate that lots of others relied on.
Didn't work either way... Studying Maths doesn't help with a career in Operations and Operations in way has improved my Maths.
The Company
Lively atmosphere - often stressful.
With so many interns the placement was organised very well. However, there was little organised in the way of social / networking events.
I attended 2 courses but this was organised myself and i didn' thave help from HR at all. There was no opportunity to shadow other teams either.
Subsidised/Company Gym
We have not been told about the chances of a future job.
The Culture
There was a great group of Placement students at MS but all social events were organised ourselves.
London is expensive.
Good but expensive!
Played a lot of football for the company and with collegues I worked with.
