The Role
MS is a great place to work, if you dont give you best to try and get a job with them you are silly
it takes time to be of value/learn your job, but once you do you are just another member of the team who is relied on
often had 1:1 meetings and if i wanted extra help all you need to do is ask. Try not to ask same things to often but at end of day its in their interest yo help you as you will be of more help to them!
My job was mainly Monthly/Quarterly processes so very busy at those times and not very during intramonth periods. Has its pro's and con's
You build up to it gradually depending on the detail of your role. I was encouraged to take on much as i could
without this placement i wouldnt have my mind so clear for the future. Great skills and experihences
The Company
One day it could be a fair laugh but the next could be very quite. I am a fairly chatty person with banter but not everyones on the same level. Going from uni to an office is a large change but i was lucky to be surrounded by good people, also a few great IPs.
MS put a lot of effort into the placement scheme, i was very impressed.
£1,000 on professional training courses plus a huge bank of online training courses, could of got more really. Plus i chose to pay for and sit the IMC.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Not in my specific role but the company as a whole is a great company and will be around for years. I hope to work at MS again.
The Culture
75% of placement students we're relatively boring, but if you are a fun person trust me in that the fun people find each other eventually. I am very fond of my good friends here at MS within the IP group.
Its expensive naturally, but its not the end of the world just be smart with your money.
its not uni, but its great if you are with the right people. Also be open to try new things as london is very different from uni nights out.
MS has sports teams that anyone can get involved in you just have to make the effort.
