The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Morgan Stanley and would love the oppertunity to come back and work here full time. I feel I have learnt a lot and have become a competent employee.
At the begining there didnt seem to be a set plan for my internship. I had to organise training on my own back. However, the team was more than happy to make time for me and help me get trained up.
My placement started off slow and I had to persuade the managers to give me the tasks I wanted to do. However, once I managed to get the day to day I wanted I was treated like any other member within the team.
There are a number of life skills that I have developed during my placement which will benefit me going forward. Such as presentation skills, time managment & attention to detail.
The Company
The work atmosphere was great, very relaxed and friendly. However, every one worked hard and ensured the work was done to the highest standard.
HR did an amazing job setting up the placement the training and events at the begining were really beneficial and enjoyable. I do feel the managers in my team could of come up with a better training structure at the start of my placement.
There were plenty of oppertunities to get training within the firm. We were encouraged to take part in a range of courses that Morgan Stanley provides and pays for.

The Culture
Drinks after work with the team every friday and the IPs would always get together on the weekend.
The wharf has a lot of great bars. However, you have to go into the city for the best nights.
I volunteer for an hour a week at a local school teaching a 9 year old girl maths. I find this really enjoyable and have taken pride in watching her become a more competent mathematician.
