The Role
Really engaging, informative and useful. I really felt as if I got a really good feel of the company and we were exposed to a lot of people and situations
The people, classmates, HR and the business were all really open and friendly, its a real testimony to the company that everyone was so willing to chat and help.
They have a really good mentor system. Even though they were clearly all really busy, they took time chatting to us, explaining things and helping us network with the areas we were interested in.
They throw a lot at you so its challenging but really great fun. It was a good mix of interactive stuff and talks.
We had to do group presentations which was fairly scary. Besides that they can't give you a great deal of responsibility but we didn't feel patronised or in the way which was great
They definitely made it clear what skills they were looking for and some of the sessions really did help, there was one called the big sell which was all about communication skills and was really useful.
The Company
There was a good balance of banter and serious stuff. Everyone chatted to each other on the same level and there was a definite work hard play hard attitude.
Despite a few hitches (you'd expect that with the amount of organisational stuff they have to do) it was pretty well organised, we always had activities or something to do
The fact that we spoke to a great deal of really senior people demonstrates how much time they put into us. It was great that they took the time out of their day to chat to us and explain more about the company and their role.
Subsidised Canteen
I've been fasttracked through, which is a great opportunity and just demonstrates how important these schemes are
The Culture
We didn't have time for a great deal of social stuff in the evenings since we were so busy, but the little time we did have was fantastic, a great bunch of people.
Its London so you can't expect rock bottom prices but the city is so amazing its a small price to pay for the privilege.
Great clubs, bars and restaurants, although a bit pricey there was something for everyone.
They let us sit in on the morning meetings which was really interesting. It gave us a more first hand look into the sales and trading roles.
