The Role
Great fun! A really busy week, but all of it engaging and useful.
They were all really welcoming. Took the time to listen to us and answer our questions.
HR were great. Made me feel wanted and at home.
13 hour days minimum, and a group presentation on the thursday morning. Not for the fainthearted/those who especially value their sleep.
We had little interaction with the day-to-day running of the firm. It was more intended as a educational placement.
Great thing to have on your CV, chance to get fast-tracked onto the internship program afterwards, and I learnt a lot.
The Company
Pretty intense!
Like I said, HR had organised everything flawlessly.
It was another chance to assess us as potential interns as much as anything else, and so they spent a lot of time and effort monitoring us and educating us.
Subsidised Canteen
Everybody there would have been thrilled to get a job offer from them.
The Culture
Most of us were fairly tired by the end of it, but people were up for having a good time.
We were given free accomodation in Canary Wharf if you lived outside London, so that was pretty cheap!
Few bars around, no real clubs though unless you were prepared to Tube for 5 or 6 stops.
Few that I was aware of. We were taken for a meal out on the Thursday, but then we were only there for 5 days, so participation in that sort of thing would have been pretty limited anyway.
