I work with my colleagues on the current projects I have been put on, switching between each flexibly depending on the urgency or demand for the job at hand. This involves CAD modelling, lab testing and spotlight testing.
I have developed my team-working and problem solving skills in an engineering environment. I have also improved my knowledge in certain areas such as RF communications.
Yes, I was given a fair amount of responsibility with the projects that I was tasked to work on, which I found very refreshing from previous work experience placements at other companies where this is not the case.
I had very good support from my colleagues which was in the perfect sized doses for me, as I preferred to be treated more as a regular employee than an intern. By letting me have a degree of independence, I felt my experience was far more valuable and enjoyable.
Very inclusive and friendly, everyone was always happy to help with any issue I might have or give some advice more generally.
Very much so, I have had a great summer of expanding my engineering knowledge and skills whilst working on exciting projects that utilises and expands my skillset as well as challenges me to critically think and solve the problems that do arise in these types of projects.
