  • In my specific team I work on creating events for colleagues to educate them on cybersecurity, fraud, technology, and any associated risks.

  • I have developed my skills in teamwork, time management and discipline, and working independently. I have also learnt new skills such as stakeholder management through having many meetings and organising colleagues and other stakeholders.

  • I was given the responsibility of setting up all of these events, organising meetings and people, and designing the runway all quite independently and with initiative.

  • My team were fully supportive of my work whenever I needed it. The Emerging Talent team were always there to help. I amount of learning resources with eLearning, LinkedIn learning and HSBC university were hugely beneficial.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture is very welcoming and inclusive. The hours were flexible around commitments and everyone was really bright, friendly and helpful.

  • I enjoyed the whole experience greatly. The only downside was working remotely due to Covid-19.
