  • Thoroughly enjoyable, great company to work for.

  • Given lots of responsibly and treated as an equal. All staff are were very helpful and looked out for your best interests.

  • Managers/colleges were keen to help you prosper where they could. Guiding and advising you on networking opportunities and dissertation/uni work.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My role specifically was made up of mostly ad hoc projects which sometimes meant an unsteady work flow. Good way to learn how to manage your time.

  • Lots of responsibility given, really part of the team. Often the work I did impacted greatly on others in the team and processes within the business.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Dramatically increase confidence and soft skills amongst many. Given me a greater understanding of the area's within Business that I want to develop and focus on for my future career.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere. Fun and colourful with a lively working environment. Perfect balance between relaxed and professional. One of the biggest highlights of working for HP especially with so many other interns in the office.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Internship set up well, in particular the month hand over you get with the previous intern you are replacing; not being chucked in at the deep end.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • On the job training with the intern you are replacing for the first month. The chances to do on-line training on programs you are unsure of throughout the year.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Great chance to network whilst on placement. Get to know areas/people who work within the areas offering graduate roles for the future. Great foot in the door.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Great social atmosphere with fellow students. Intern committee that organises nights out and social events including the 3 Peaks Challenge and an Intern Summer Ball.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Reading is reasonable to live, rent is low and socialising costs are about average.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Reading isn't the greatest night out but it was made by the people you go out with. Nights out with all the interns, a chance to socialise outside of work.

  • 3 Peaks Challenge organised by the intern committee.
