Overview
We act as guardians of the firm’s profitability and regularly report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure our leadership has the information to make sound commercial decisions. We ensure sustainable growth of our business by positively challenging our leadership to seek to increase revenue and appropriately control expenditure thereby maximising profit and investment opportunities across Operate.
Skills
I have learnt various new financial software skills on the likes of Alteryx workflow programme, GFS reporting software and PowerBIs KPI dashboard software. I have also further developed the likes of Excel and Google sheets through this placement. I have only enhanced key soft skills such as communication via email and in person.
Responsibilities
Tasked with the responsibility of providing important KPIs to senior leadership roles in the PwC business, I would say i was given a great amount of responsibly that i was certainly looking for when joining the firm.
Support & Guidance
Plenty of support from team leaders and co workers in the same line of work. The firm treats you as no lower than the individual beside you. The value of Support and guidance is shown greatly in Pwc through the excellent helping staff.
Culture
Genuinely fantastic. The team welcomed myself and any new joiners along the way with open arms. The firm's staff follows all the cultures excepted of them through the processes that are set in place. Overall a great atmosphere to be involved with.
Your Impressions
To the full extent. I find with every placement/internship there is always ways to improve however, PwCs operate placement for me ticked every box that was possible during a tough year with covid. I am very thankful for being involved with this company for the previous year and look forward to returning after my final year.
Yes
To not be intimated by the size of the company. Once you join your area of work you will realise how inclusive the company can be. I would also say to not dwell too much on the chance that you might not enjoy the role you are applying for as the company offers easily accessible change of service area etc to allow you to understand what role you fit.
