I absolutely loved the virtual vacation scheme BCLP ran. The support given by lawyers from all levels of seniority was truly invaluable. The firm not only educated me on the culture, work and training but also informed me on industry trends, challenges and opportunities.

I felt extremely valued during my time at the firm. Not only did trainees, associates and partners show support and an interest in me but even the managing partner gave us an insight into the firm. I was supported throughout the whole scheme by a number of different people.

I received a high level of support not just from my trainee buddy, but also from graduate recruitment, partners and associates throughout the week. BCLP went above and beyond in supporting me, offering 1-1 sessions with a number of different people across the firm enabling me to gain advice and an insight into the work the firm does.

I have definitely developed my commercial understanding of businesses and the legal industry which I can go on to utilise in my degree in the future. Additionally, I was able to develop my analytical and critical thinking skills through tasks set by the firm.

The insight was seamless.

The general atmosphere felt inclusive, progressive and connected. The firms culture of being a ‘one firm’ firm was apparent from the very next day and was echoed throughout the whole scheme.

The firm gave us invaluable training on the tasks expected as a trainee, interview skills and also helping us gain an understanding on the skills needed to be a successful trainee in various departments.

I was able to gain a sound insight into what would be expected of me as a trainee at the firm through speaking to numerous trainees at different stages whilst also having in depth insights into the different seats and skills required.

I was able to get an organic feel for the firms inclusive culture through workshops, 1-1 sessions and general feedback from employees.

The insight solidified my decision to pursue a career in law.

Considering it was online, we had extensive opportunities to socialise and develop relationships within the firm. The virtual escape room social was a personal highlight!
