  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • This job was challenging but as it is a small team you have a lot of responsibility and accountability which makes it fulfilling.

    • The culture at Unilever is really relaxed and so everyone is really friendly and you feel very valued.

    • The support was there if you wanted it

    • There was a massive mix of being in the office and out of the office and your day was however you planned it.

    • I was given a lot of responsibilty and at one point was the only memeber of the team and so was totally responsible, this was valued by the company.

    • Its given me a massive insight to anumber of different functions in the business this will be useful in my career decisions.

    • It was a very relaxed atmosphere and a massive sense of unity.

    • There are only a few people on placement so some people are more aware than others of what this entails but the scheme has run for many years and so the majority of people are aware

    • You are truely seen as a memeber of the team and so you are offered many opportunities as you want.

    • I've been offered a job there after my finals....what more can i ask!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There aren't many other placements but it is a young company and has a grad scheme so there are many opportunites to meet people.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • It is a nice area of Surrey but there are really good transport links so its not too much of a problem.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • In Walton theres not too much but its only a train ride to Clapham or Wimbeldon and a lot of people live near there so there were many nights out!
