    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I very much enjoyed my work placement as my team made me feel very welcome and I felt comfortable asking questions or for more work if needed. I think the structure of the programme was well organised with the Induction and Development Days.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued by my colleagues as they made clear how I benefitted the team and made me feel like I would be missed on my last day. I felt they gave me tasks which added valued to the team.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My supervisors were very supportive and gave me consistent feedback. They made time to organise meetings with me and ensure I felt comfortable and welcomed into the team.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was busy most of the time and if there were instances when I was not I felt I could ask my team for more work or another project to work on. Additionally, there was always an opportunity to shadow someone in the team.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a sufficient amount of responsibility as I had the chance to interact with clients independently and carry out tasks that permanent members of the team would usually be trusted to complete.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I will use many of the skills in the future, in particular the presentation and teamwork skills. I also now have more confidence in asking questions or asking for more work to enhance my learning when necessary.
