The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at PwC, the office were incredibly welcoming. It was great to work on various engagements and meet lots of new people within and outside the office.
I felt as if I meshed well with the team, and was able to spend time with them in both a formal business setting and casual one. I enjoyed working with them as well as going to work socials with my colleagues throughout the internship.
All of those who I worked with during my internship were incredibly supportive and patient in helping me through the different tasks. My career coach gave me good guidance throughout the internship.
I always had something to do, but it was still a manageable load.
I felt as though I played an important part of the team. I was left to work independently but also had someone to talk to if I needed and I got to participate in client meetings.
As my degree background is not in finance, I would not say that this internship has developed skills specific to my degree. However, it has definitely broadened my outlook in the workplace and more generally for life after University.
The Company
The office was very chilled and comfortable to be in, with lots of different workspaces. It was nice to have hot seating so you could pick a different seat and speak to different people. Everyone was very friendly but also hard working.
The initial parts of the internship were very streamlined however when I actually got into the office, there could have been better communication between the recruitment team and the office itself in terms on being aware that there were interns coming to work so that they had an formal introductory prepared in the office itself.
The firm were incredibly supportive in guiding us through how we could grow throughout our time in the office. We had an array of training activities throughout our time.

The Culture
Although the intern numbers were low, I got on with them all really well, as well as the Business Placement students. I've made some really good friends during this internship.
