The Role
I have definitely learned a lot about audit but the internship was not organised really well.
I did not have a set team to work with during my time at PwC therefore it was hard to get to know people. Also, lots of social events have been cancelled.
Everyone was usually keen to help.
On some days I did not have any work to do and had to go and ask around the office which was quite awkward. But there were times when I was given too many tasks and was expected to work longer hours.
I was pleasantly surprised about how much responsibility is given to interns.
It was a positive learning experience!
The Company
The distribution of work was very badly organised. I have been assigned to a project but got told that there is no work that I can help with so I had to go and ask people around the office to give me stuff to do...
Excellent 3 day training program in London at the start of the internship!
Company Parties/Events
Most of summer interns get offered to join the Graduate Scheme.
The Culture
There were only two interns in total in the Aberdeen office but we got along really well!
Average
Aberdeen is a student city with lots of places to go to for a good night out!
There were a couple of sporting events and drink socials advertised, however some of them got cancelled.
