    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My placement was filled with invaluable opportunities to learn and provide value to the team. I feel over the 12 month period I have had the opportunity to really grow and build upon my existing skills as well as learning new skills that are really valuable for the future. I have been given real responsibility and challenging projects which I have thoroughly enjoyed.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I have been very fortunate to work with a large range of colleagues from across the business both UK and Global. My immediate team have been the best I could have ever asked for and have really contributed to my enjoyment of my placement year. We have regular team meetings which has been a great opportunity to check in with the rest of the team. They have been nothing but supportive and welcoming.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Team have provided me with constant support and guidance. I have had role specific training from the start and continuous support has been provided throughout my year. I felt comfortable asking for feedback and help where necessary and have always been provided with a supportive hand where needed. Induction at the start of the year was particularly good, it really helped to have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the individual stakeholders. If I ever have any issues any of the three managers can make time for me, they are very visible.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I have worked with a really great group of people. They have been both inspiring in their knowledge and approach to challenges but have also created a happy environment to work in. The environment was particularly welcoming. Somebody is always around to chat to and support you should you ever need it.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • My placement has been very well organised. The induction in my first few days really put me at ease and helped with networking with placement students and employees. The structure of this along with the on the job training I have received has meant that I have always been confident in my role. There are plenty of opportunities to develop skills such as attending additional training sessions and partaking in 'Lunch and learn' sessions.
