The Role
i really enjoyed my placement here. i took on so much responsibility in my individual team. i felt that m,y work was really valued and essential for the success of the team. it was also so interesting working and learning from senior individuals of the comp[any which i was not expecting to have sop much exposure too.
it was so nice to valued so highly by my colleagues. all my work was a direct aid to their work. they helped motivate me and were so helpful in sharing their experiences in order to teach me valuable skills. this will be a great benefit to my future career
my manager has been fantastic throughout my placement. she has always been happy to help and never got frustrated when i have found things challenging. we have regular one to ones to check in on my progress and set objectives for the week to make sure i am maximizing my personal development
i have lots of responsibilities on a daily basis. i have lots of deliverables however i am always flexible to provide ad hoc assistance to the rest of my team. this can include building new reports for them which they will find useful or providing new starts with information which i can give them rather than taking time of managers
i felt really included with the amount of responsibility my team gave me during this placement year. faith and trust was put in to me from the very early part of my placement. taking on responsibility of building reports which my team use to report to their own business partners
i received lots of upskilling opportunities. Not just for work but also for mindfulness and energy for performance. these can be transferable to any role that i do not only in finance. these skills will be so useful for the future and will give me a leg up in a role that i decide to take on next.
The Company
all my colleges were very talkative and friendly to me, i feel it was a great balance between professional and informal. this made being in the office and motivated me to work hard. this is really important in an office environment i feel. making work enjoyable and not a chore.
very well, at Johnson and Johnson the placement structure is well trodden and is very well thought out. in a huge company like Johnson and Johnson you can rely on a well structure placement giving experience which will benefit me in the future. my role has evolved lots over the year and will keep developing over time.
i was invested in substantially. i was given the opportunity to go to many careers fairs which promoted my role and was on expenses from the company. this gave a great opportunity top leave the office and promote my role. giving information to prospective candidates and why they should work for Johnson and Johnson

the FLDP programme looks very appealing. it is very well sought after and the scheme itself is exciting. moving to separate areas of Europe in a rotational role will give many skills and experiences which will be so useful whilst also gaining a professional qualification. this will be so useful for time to come
The Culture
there was a good network of placement at my office. this made it more exciting being in the office. we all lived in similar proximity to each other too which meant that it was fun to let our hair down and have some other non work related activities
i lived in reading which was cheaper than areas nearer to the office but is much closer to a more vibrant nightlife. i have enjoyed living in reading because it is so well connected. it is so easy to get anyway especially to london where there is plenty going on.
the nightlife in reading is good and there is always lots to do with the university. the actual office itself is out in the country near wokingham so unfortunately there is not much going on. you will have to drive there as the public transport is poor but its a very picturesque place.
my team did a few outside of work events including a trip to the races and a Christmas party. these were great ways to get to know my team on a more informal level. making me more comfortable as an intern and making me feel like a valued member of the team.
